I have rolls of 2000P and the 2 outer coins are bright golden shiny. I keep them in the rolls in tubes. Waiting for a good time to grade in the future, if it matters. 6 dollars a pop right now and mine are un-circulated. Gotta wait. It is the year 2022.

I have the 2000 'D', not 'P' experimental rinse planchette error and I'll let you know what happens when I send it to be graded. But mine is a D, about MS65. Thanks for the info, great job! And yes, I believe yours are very likely to be, specially the first one you showed, the second one may have been covered over the years with some form of liquid, since it is not solid all around, and I do see its regular golden color in some parts of it, or maybe through the process of minting it, the planchette got it half way through... Either way, great findings!

I have a roll of these. Mint, atleast the ones in the center. The coloration can be seen on the bookend coins.
It is interesting how the different new metals react to the environment. Makes for more of a challenge when trying to discover US Mint tests and errors. The Mint seems to always be trying to confuse the situation, so as to not expose their tests or errors. When they make them. But they run a lot of failed and successful tests on any newly minted coins.

Have you found any more information on these I have a d and p with the same finish I was curious if I could send you a pic of them and tell me what you think I have started to get back into coin collecting and also have a few hundred original railroads and mining stock certificates from the 1800s to around 1970s and just started going through those the forst one was from 1884 #12 of 200 given to promonate people If the time in Utah priced at $1200 so very excited to see what else I have along with the coins I need to still go through I would like someone to look at and through and give me their opinion on what I ahould do, my eyes are shot from welding even with the USB microscope and loops lol anyway let me know either way I appreciate it and your videos regardless if you respond you respond not.

Yes..........we have a 2000,,,discolored,,,and green oxidation entirely on the face surface.???.....it seems more on face not dim green,,,but my other coins are not close to this particular coin....curious to know why this happened on the surface..!.....I do know enough of corrosion,copper stain,green,,,,,,looks like that,,,???? The Mint did environmental testing as I understand it and brass is a very tricky metal when it comes to oxidation and other chemical in the earth. Maybe they tested a wash or rinse different than the rinse on the 2001 Sacagaweas. Maybe a rinse more like the ones used on the Sacagawea Statutes placed in the National parks around the country. Only general statements to do with testing under the freedom of information act have been released not many detailed testing procedures. It can take years for the truth. I'v been accused of counterfeiting mine by online coin experts.Enjoy your coins and you may not wsant to give them to any unscrupulous coin dealers.

INTERESTING! Normally they weigh about 8.1 grams scales do fluctuate a little bit. What kind of scale are you using? I think the Mint is trying to make even their test pieces the same weight as the real thing. So the old weight test would no longer be valid if the test coin had different ingredients.
I found a 2000 P that looks almost just like yours. Brown with greenish tones. Please message me back as I'd love to know if this is a real exp. Wash coin. Just looks different. My mind is going in circles around this coin.
The US Mint did several tests on these Sacagawea dollars in order to see how they would stand up in the natural environment if dropped on the ground for years and to do with years of use in casinos and vending machines. All the tests have not been released in detail that I can see so far. save your coin and spread the word.
